Vaccines

Rabies Vaccine
Price: $29.00 (1 year and 3 year)
All dogs must be vaccinated for Rabies Virus by law. The minimum age for vaccination is 12-16 weeks. For dogs, the first vaccine must have a booster within 9 months to 1 year, then a booster every 3 years following. You will receive a vaccination certificate showing the type and expiration of the Rabies vaccine your pet received. We do not offer tags at this time.
Distemper/Adenovirus Type 1 & 2/ Parainfluenza/ Parvovirus
Price: $36
Recommended for all puppies and adult dogs. This vaccine protects puppies and dogs against many diseases including Parvovirus, Distemper Virus, Infectious Hepatitis caused by Canine Adenovirus type-1, respiratory disease caused by Canine Adenovirus type-2, and Canine Parainfluenza Virus. Minimum age of 6 weeks or older. Vaccination of puppies should begin at 6-8 weeks of age and be repeated every 3-4 weeks until 16-18 weeks of age. Dogs 4 months old, that have never received vaccination, will need a booster 3-4 weeks after the initial vaccination. Overall recommended frequency of adult dog booster vaccinations is every 3 years.
Bordetella Intranasal Vaccine
Price: $32

Recommended for all puppies and adult dogs at least yearly.  Most at risk dogs are those that are frequently in contact with other dogs (lifestyle of frequenting dog parks, doggy day care, training classes, boarding/grooming facilities).  Minimum age for vaccination is 8 weeks.

The vaccine protects against the most common cause of Kennel Cough, a bacterium called Bordetella bronchiseptica.  Most boarding, grooming and dog training facilities require proof of vaccination.

Leptospirosis Vaccine
Price: $34
Recommended for all puppies and adult dogs. We recommend an initial vaccine series (2 injections given 3-4 weeks apart) and then an annual booster.
Lyme Disease Vaccine
Price: $55
Recommended for all dogs in endemic areas (yup, that includes Minnesota). We recommend an initial vaccine series (2 injections given 3-4 weeks apart) and then an annual booster. The bacteria that causes Lyme disease, Borrelia burgdoferi, is transmitted by the deer tick after at least 48 hours of attachment and is really good at hiding from your pet’s immune system. This is just another way in addition to monthly flea/tick prevention to help prevent disease from occurring. Vaccination of puppies may begin at 8 weeks, with a booster 3-4 weeks following and then an annual booster.

Standard Testing

Intestinal Parasite Screening
Price: $42
Recommended for all puppies and dogs at least yearly. Puppies will often have intestinal parasites that were passed to them by their mother or from being in contaminated surroundings. Adult dogs can also be exposed to the microscopic forms of these parasites in the environment even in winter. Since these parasites can cause healthy problems for your pet and some of them can also be harmful to humans, we recommend yearly testing. For best results, please ensure that your pet’s fecal sample is no older than 48 hours and is not frozen.
Heartworm Disease Test
Price: $45
Recommend annually for dogs after 6 months of age or after a lapse in heartworm prevention. Dogs should receive their first Heartworm Test at 6 months of age and should be tested annually thereafter. Dogs should be maintained on a regular, year-round and broad-spectrum parasite control program that includes prevention of fleas, ticks, heartworms and intestinal parasites. We recommend Simparico Trio which can be obtained through our online pharmacy and only approved for pets that have had heartworm disease testing with our service.
